Pearl white and champagne ball pit at a wedding venue

White ball pits have quietly become one of the most requested features at upscale weddings, brand activations and adult parties. Event rental companies report their white and pearl stock books out first, and a well-styled pit turns into the most photographed corner of the venue. If you run a rental business or plan events, here is the complete playbook: which colors work, how many balls you actually need, and what custom options are available direct from the factory.

Why White & Pearl Balls Win at Events

The Event Color Menu

We produce the full event palette in 55mm, 70mm and 80mm, all in 100% virgin food-grade LDPE:

ColorFinishBest For
Pure WhiteHigh glossWeddings, minimalist brand activations
IvorySoft glossWarm, vintage-themed receptions
Pearl WhitePearlescentLuxury weddings, photo zones (our bestseller)
Champagne GoldPearlescentAccent color, 10–20% of the mix
SilverPearlescentCorporate events, New Year parties
BlackHigh glossNightclubs, product launches, contrast pits

Pro mix: 80% pearl white + 15% champagne gold + 5% silver gives depth without losing the clean white look. The pearl finish catches light differently ball-to-ball, which reads as texture in photos.

How Many Balls Does an Event Pit Need?

Loose-filled balls occupy about 3,340 balls per cubic metre at 70mm. So at the standard 30cm depth, budget roughly 1,000 balls per square metre — and about 1,670 per m² if you fill to the 50cm depth adults prefer:

Event SetupSize@30cm deep@50cm deep (adults)
Photo-booth pit2m × 2m~4,000~6,700
Lounge pool3m × 3m~9,000~15,000
Wedding centerpiece pit4m × 4m~16,000~26,700

The full formula, circular-pit maths and depth adjustments are in our ball pit quantity calculator guide.

Custom Colors & Printing for Brands

For brand activations and corporate clients, plain white is only the starting point:

Safety Certifications (Event Venues Ask)

Venue managers increasingly request documentation before allowing a pit on site. Every ViviBalls shipment is backed by EN71 (EU), ASTM F963 and CPSIA (USA) certification, CE marking, and BPA-free food-grade LDPE - paperwork your client's H&S officer actually wants to see.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many white ball pit balls do I need for a wedding ball pit?

At a 30cm depth with 70mm balls you need about 1,000 balls per square metre - that is 0.3 cubic metres of loose-filled balls. A 2x2m photo-booth pit takes roughly 4,000 balls, a 3x3m lounge pool about 9,000, and a 4x4m wedding centerpiece pit around 16,000. Fill it to the 50cm depth adults prefer and the 4x4m figure rises to about 26,700. Order 5-10% extra for top-ups.

Can you match a specific event color like Pantone?

Yes. Beyond our standard white, ivory, pearl, champagne, silver and black, we can match custom Pantone or RAL colors. The minimum order is 1,000 balls per color, so mixed palettes stay affordable.

Do you offer logo or QR code printing on the balls?

Yes. We print logos, QR codes and patterns directly on the balls - a popular option for brand activations and corporate events. Printed balls are quoted per design, so send us your artwork for an exact price.

Are white event balls certified safe for guests?

Yes. All ViviBalls are made from 100% virgin food-grade LDPE, BPA-free, and certified to EN71 (EU), ASTM F963 and CPSIA (USA) with CE marking. Guests of all ages can play safely.
